Chief among the support services the SCCPC provides for the Offices of Circuit Solicitor is regular training for all prosecutors, law enforcement, judges, diversion coordinators, victim advocates and others. Each training is tailored to the positions, responsibilities and experience of the participants.
The SCCPC conducts an annual Prosecution Bootcamp program to train prosecutors with two or less years of experience. This program five-day training focuses on criminal law, ethics, and trial advocacy.
The SCCPC also conducts an annual Solicitors’ Conference in partnership with the Solicitors’ Association of South Carolina, which hosts upward of 600 criminal justice professionals.
Every training the SCCPC conducts is accredited by the Supreme Court of South Carolina Commission on CLE and Specialization, South Carolina Bar, South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy, and/or Department of Crime Victim Services Training, Provider Certification & Statistical Analysis.
